Boom is a lightweight and fast audio player which supports formats like MP3, OGG, AIFF and MP4 files.
The overall design of the program is pretty minimalistic and includes little in terms of features when compared to other programs like Winamp or AIMP.
As a portable application, installation of Boom is not necessary and you can run the software from anywhere really.
Since it's designed as a minimalistic audio player, there are few controls apart from the typical playback controls like Next, Previous, Stop, Pause, Play. It does, however include album art of currently playing tracks.

Boom is provided under a freeware license on Windows from MP3 player software with no restrictions on usage. Download and installation of this PC software is free and 1.0.38 is the latest version last time we checked.
What version of Windows can Boom run on?
Boom can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems with no dedicated 64-bit download provided.
Other operating systems: The latest Boom version from 2024 is also available for Android and Mac. These are often available from the app store.
